Shin Megami Tensei translates to “True Goddess Revelation,” and is a series of games that includes the Persona sub-series. The Persona 2: Eternal Punishment game is the second part of the Persona 2 game, following Persona 2: Innocent Sin.
Atlus USA attached the title Shin Megami Tensei to Megami Tensei series games after Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, regardless of whether or not they were originally part of the franchise in Japan.
Both series of games have many elements in common, such as the ability to speak to and recruit demons in battle, and Biblical and/or mythological allegories.
What’s a Fanlisting?
A fanlisting is a place where fans gather to show their their love of a character, a pairing, or anything, really! Why Rumor Has It?
One unique feature of the Persona 2 world is the ability to spread rumors that, have the ability to come true and alter the outcome of the game. These rumors vary from giving players access to special items and spells to changing the location of shops and more! Bearing this in mind, I named the fanlisting for the expression “Rumor Has It,” which tends to preface someone sharing a rumor—both in and outside of the game!
